Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays

Tomorrow is Christmas day. And this year I am excited for the holiday. Last year, we weren’t sure if we would be able to celebrate if we would be able to share the day with our family. This year, we will spend the day with our family, laughing, eating too much food, and enjoying the memories.

This past year has been quite a year. Who would have ever thought we would be two years into the pandemic? Jobs have come and gone, plans have been made and changed, and new puppies have joined the family. These last two years have by far been the hardest years of my life, but the best lessons and growth have come from them. Looking forward to the coming year, I want to slow down, enjoy more moments, and learn who I am. I want to passionately pursue my dreams, find happiness, and live my best life. I know change is coming, and I am excited.

I hope each of you has someone to share the holiday with, special plans, and a warm meal. The important things in life aren’t what we have or what we get, they are the shared laughter, the smiles, and the memories we share with those we love. While our world continues to shift, anger seems more prevalent than happiness, and loss has become a regular part of our days. I hope you find joy, a reprieve from the ugliness of the world.

Imagine what would happen if from now on we respected others, regardless of what they believe, how they voted, or what race they are. What could we accomplish if we saw people for their character, accomplishments, and actions? If we chose to invest in others just because we could because we wanted to see them do better than us. If the jealousy and insecurities that drive our fear were silenced, and instead we listened to our hearts.

As we prepare for the coming celebrations, I hope you have the merriest of days and know that I am cheering you on, hoping you will have the best year ever.

Sincerely,

Sara O
